SUPER SANTA BARBARA

is a series of issue-oriented contemporary art exhibitions, organized/curated by Warren Schultheis.

2013's exhibition called, THINGS THAT TURN YOUR BRAINS TO MUSH, focused on 'fear of the new' through the lens of the animated gif - raising questions about communication, language, and technology. It was SUPER SANTA BARBARA's first 'institution sanctioned' instance at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Santa Barbara

SUPER SANTA BARBARA 2 focused on Net Neutrality and how it's presence/absence relates to the future of Santa Barbara.
